Join acclaimed theatre director Oscar Toeman for an exclusive acting workshop designed to help actors strengthen their performance, deepen their script analysis, and uncover emotional truth in a scene whilst keeping the comedic beats.
Through scene work and personalised feedback, Oscar will share the techniques he uses when directing actors for stage, helping you make stronger creative choices and elevate your performances.
Bio:
Oscar Toeman is a freelance theatre director and former Baylis Director and Literary Associate at the Old Vic.
His directing credits include Double Indemnity (Trafalgar Theatre Productions, UK Tour), Farewell Mr Haffmann (Park Theatre), The Misfortune of the English and The Sugar Syndrome (Orange Tree Theatre), Actually (Trafalgar Studios), and After October and Laburnum Grove (Finborough Theatre). His upcoming production, Mother Russia, will be staged at Hampstead Theatre.
Oscar is an MGC Futures Bursary recipient, a Lincoln Center Directors Lab alumnus, and trained on the National Theatre Studio Directors Course. He has also taught and directed at leading drama schools including LAMDA, Central, East 15, Arts Educational, Mountview, and the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.
