Join Casting Assistant Anna Boffa for an exclusive casting workshop designed to give actors direct insight into current casting practice across film and theatre at Jessica Ronane's office.

Anna is currently based at Jessica Ronane Casting, where she is working across a range of major screen and stage projects, including Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming feature film and other high-profile productions spanning both film and theatre.

This session offers actors the opportunity to work directly on camera, receive professional casting feedback, and gain a clearer understanding of what contemporary casting teams are looking for in the room and on self-tape.

Prior to the workshop, actors will be sent scenes selected to reflect current industry standards and casting expectations. Participants should aim to be familiar with their text in advance and be ready to work under audition conditions.

The session will begin with a short introduction from Anna, followed by filmed self-tape-style performances in front of the group. Each actor will receive individual feedback and direction, with the opportunity for a second take.

The workshop will conclude with an informal Q&A, where participants can ask questions about casting processes, preparation, and industry expectations.

All footage is filmed using professional equipment and is made available to participants after the session.

Bio

Anna Boffa is a Casting Assistant at Jessica Ronane Casting, where she works across a slate of high-profile film and theatre projects, including Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming feature film.

She has previously worked with leading casting directors including Lucy Bevan, Dixie Chassay, Martin Ware, Jessie Frost, and Olivia Brittain, contributing to major productions such as Knives Out 3 and Project Hail Mary.

Alongside her studio work, Anna also works as a Casting Director for student short films, frequently collaborating with institutions such as the London Film School, supporting emerging filmmakers and actors at early stages of development.
