Join director Sarah Esdaile for a one-day, on-camera intensive designed to sharpen your screen performance in a focused, practical environment. Throughout the day, you’ll work on camera, with all material professionally filmed for review and raw footage sent after.
This session centres on developing truthful, instinctive work that translates powerfully on screen. You’ll explore how to make bold, specific choices, stay present in the moment, and respond fluidly to direction — all while working within the technical demands of filming.
With an emphasis on immediacy and clarity, Sarah will guide you in building performances that feel grounded, watchable, and alive, even with limited preparation time. Each participant will receive dedicated time on camera, along with detailed, constructive feedback.
This intensive is ideal for actors looking to strengthen their on-screen presence, trust their instincts, and deepen their connection to the work in a professional, supportive setting which allows the full day to breathe into the process.
Sarah will receive your Spotlight CV prior to the workshop and sides will be provided.
Sarah moved from theatre to television where she has directed over forty episodes of Eastenders as well as episodes of Call the Midwife including a Feature length 2024 Christmas special and two episodes of The Chelsea Detective starring Adrian Scarborough.
