This session is perfect for actors outside of London, who want the consistency and progression within an intensive, without the travel hassle.

Format Overview

• Weeks 1 & 2: Remote learning live Zoom feedback

• Week 3: In-person practical workshop

N.B One of the remote dates is a Wednesday, and the other a Thursday. (In person on the Thursday also)

Week 1 — Remote Self-Tape Fundamentals

Participants will be provided with a curated pool of scenes by Paushali Banik. Choose your piece, prepare your performance, and submit your self-tape by the deadline. In a dedicated Zoom feedback session, we’ll watch selected submissions together, and Paushali will offer detailed notes on performance, technical setup, emotional choices, and self-tape presentation.

Week 2 — Casted Self-Tape Submissions

This week, Paushali will assign tailored scenes to each actor, designed to challenge your range and deepen your understanding of casting expectations. You’ll film and submit a new self-tape, then meet again on Zoom for personalised feedback. Paushali will guide you through nuanced takes, character objectives and how your creative choices read on camera.

Week 3 — In-Person Self-Tape Workshop

The intensive culminates with an in-person session where you’ll be filmed live with professional direction from Paushali. Actors will work through scenes on-site, receive real-time notes, and be filmed in industry-standard conditions. Every participant will gain footage after the workshop.

Meet Paushali:

Paushali Banik is a London-based casting director and industry coach with more than a decade’s experience in casting for film and television. She began her casting career in 2013 and has since worked as a Casting Assistant, Associate and Casting Director across major projects for Netflix, Paramount, Apple TV , BBC, ITV, Amazon Prime, C4, Hulu and HBO, among others.

Her credits include high-profile titles such as Silent Witness, King & Conqueror, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim and The Long Shadow—bringing a deep understanding of what casting professionals seek in auditions and self-tapes.
