Emma Sylvester is a Casting freelancer and has worked extensively across film and television casting.
Prior to the workshop Emma will send out a selection of scenes for members to prepare. Following a brief introduction Emma will offer the opportunity to answer any questions you may have about our industry including, but not limited to, her casting process, showreels, contacting Casting Directors and how to give yourself the best opportunity at the audition.
Each actor will then read their scene - Emma will provide feedback, offering ideas and insight, before offering the opportunity to read again.
There will be further opportunity for questions at the end if there is time
Emma Sylvester is a Casting freelancer and has worked extensively across film and television casting and has spent the last five years in house at the BBC in it's continuing drama casting department. Emma has a kind and nurturing approach to working with actors and creates a safe and nurturing space for actors to learn and thrive.
Emma's work to date includes:
Holby City, Doctors, Casualty, Father Brown, Sister Boniface Mysteries, Shakespeare and Hathaway, The Canterville Ghost, Bruno.
