We are excited to offer this unique opportunity to work with Theatre Director Audrey Sheffield and a community of actors…4 sessions…4 weeks!!

This series of workshops will provide an opportunity to acquire new tools for bringing characters and text to life, as you refresh your acting skills, while sparking and sustaining your creative inspiration. You will have the chance to explore selected scenes from brilliant contemporary plays and the opportunity to work on duologues with different partners, all within a collective of like-minded actors committed to developing their craft and supporting each other in an encouraging and safe environment.

There will be 4 sessions in total spread over 4 weeks and the group of actors will be the same each week. Thus, giving you a greater sense of community and development.

Audrey Sheffield is an award-winning UK and international freelance director, specialising in new writing, and committed to making work that is rigorous, imaginatively ambitious and emotionally truthful. She has just finished directing PERSPECTIVE, a new play written by Mackenzie Wellfare –winner of this year’s New Views competition for the National Theatre. She is a recipient of an MGCfutures bursary 2020, was an Old Vic 12 Director 2019, nominated for the Arts Foundation Award 2018 and Finalist Best Director for the Off-West End Awards 2017/2018 (THE DARK ROOM, Theatre503).

She has worked with buildings and organisations including the Young Vic, Almeida, Kiln, Old Vic, National Theatre, Hampstead, the RSC, in the West End and with the English Theatre Frankfurt.

Audrey also has extensive experience of working with communities and young people.
