We are delighted to welcome back Casting Director, Finnian Tweed, who has worked on many high end TV shows for Netflix, Starz, the BBC, ITV and Channel 4.

The workshop will begin with a brief introduction. There will then be an opportunity to get up on your feet and work practically. Finnian asks participants to prepare a contemporary scene where the focus is on your character.  The scene (no monologues) should be from TV or film and NOT from theatre. Please be OFF-BOOK your scene and also know the context of the scene within the screenplay very well. Finnian will offer feedback and direction. Finnian leaves time at the end for a Q&A and likes to keep the discussion as open and frank as possible.

Please bring 2 copies of your scene with you.

Finnian Tweed is a Casting Director specialising in film and TV with almost 10 years industry experience. In 2020 he set up Finnian Tweed Casting. From 2018-2020 he worked alongside Sophie Holland as her Casting Associate on 2 seasons of the hugely successful 8 part series 'The Witcher' for Netflix. He was also Sophie's Casting Associate on 'Young Wallander' for Yellow Bird UK/ Netflix and several other exciting projects. In 2018 he worked with Gary Davy on a number of shows including 'The Spanish Princess' for Starz. Prior to that he worked at the BBC where his Casting Director credits included ‘Doctors’, ‘The Break’ Series 2 (BBC3 iplayer online) and the October 2017 ‘Sky Drama Table Read’, hosted by the BBC Writersroom. He also worked on several award winning shows at the BBC including: ‘Holby City’, ‘Father Brown’, and ‘Shakespeare and Hathaway’.

(Director: Robert Icke). ‘BLUE/ORANGE’ at Young Vic. (Director: Matthew Xia) ‘YERMA’ at Young Vic with Billie Piper. (Director: Simon Stone). ‘Hamlet’ at the Barbican (Sonia Friedman Productions, (Director: Lyndsey Turner). ‘Tipping the Velvet’ at Lyric Hammersmith. (Director: Lyndsey Turner). ‘Martyr’, a Co-Production of Actors Touring Company and the Unicorn Theatre, (Director Ramin Gray). ‘HIGH SOCIETY’ at the Old Vic.
