We are very pleased to welcome back Layke Anderson, who is currently working for Dan Hubbard Casting.
Casting for Screen aims to demystify the process of auditioning for screen, to simplify and build confidence while honing your audition technique for screen auditions.
In this online workshop, Layke will send out prepared scenes for you to self-tape 3/4 days before the class. You can submit one take of the scene by WeTransfer. There will then be a Zoom session where each self-tape will be shown, and Layke will give his feedback live. There will be time at the end for a Q&A. Once you have heard your feedback you will then be able to submit a second take of your scene and written feedback will then be sent to you.
The deadline for the selftape is Monday 17th May at 10am and the Zoom workshop will take place on Tuesday 18th May 6-9pm.
All self-tapes to be sent to mail@actorsguild.co.uk.
Layke has been a Session Director for Dan Hubbard since 2018, and has previously worked as Casting Assistant for Ros and John Hubbard, Maureen Duff, Kristina Erdely and Gail Stevens.
Outside of casting, Layke is a BIFA nominated and BAFTA-long-listed filmmaker, whose short films have collectively screened at over a hundred international film festivals and won several major awards. He is currently in development on his first feature film.
Recently Layke worked as the S.A. Director on the new Francis Lee film, Ammonite.
Having previously worked as an actor (beginning in his teens), his filmography includes work with Danny Boyle and Richard Attenborough.
