Casting Director Rachel Sheridan is currently working with Big Talk, Rough Cut and Objective on a selection of read throughs and pilots for BBC and Channel 4.

In this 3 hour Zoom workshop Rachel shares her wealth of experience and top tips. Rachel will begin with a brief chat covering her professional background before moving into the practical element.

Prior to the workshop Rachel will email out a selection of scenes for you and ask you to prepare one as you would for a real casting.  Rachel will read in with you, provide feedback  and then you will read again. During the Q&A section Rachel will be happy to answer questions relating to all aspects of casting. 

Rachel Sheridan has worked in casting for over 10 years. She began her career working with the casting director Pippa Ailion on various West End musicals including Billy Elliot, Wicked, We Will Rock You and the Lion King.  Rachel then moved to predominantly working in TV. She worked as the associate to casting director Rachel Freck for 7/8 years and in the last few years has been working independently.

Recent shows include “Feel Good” for Channel 4 and Netflix, starring Mae Martin & Lisa Kudrow.  The BAFTA award & RTS Award winning “In My Skin” for BBC, The BAFTA & RTS award winning “The Left Behind” for BBC, “Flack” starring Anna Paquin & Sophie Okonedo for Channel W and Amazon and  “The Other One” for BBC.

Other notable TV series Rachel has worked on include: Sky Atlantic – Tin Star, BBC – Love Nina, BBC - W1A, BBC - Twenty Twelve, Sky Atlantic – Hunderby, BBC Life in Squares, BBC - The Game, BBC - Him & Her.
