We welcome back Rory Okey who is a Casting Associate who is currently working with Dan Hubbard Casting.

Prior to the workshop Rory will send out a selection of scenes for members to prepare. Following a brief introduction Rory will offer the opportunity to answer any questions you may have about our industry including, but not limited to, his casting process, showreels, contacting Casting Directors and how to give yourself the best opportunity at the audition.

Each actor will then read their scene - Rory will provide feedback, offering ideas and insight, before offering the opportunity to read again.

There will be further opportunity for questions at the end if there is time. 

Rory Okey has worked in casting in various forms since 2013. He started as a studio assistant then studio manager at a casting studio called Nash Studio and was lucky enough to work on some incredible feature films, tv shows and commercials that initially ignited his desire to work in casting. 

After 2 and a half years he moved to Spotlight. He used his time there to meet other casting directors and to use Spotlight's resources to learn as much as he could about the industry and actors. He left Spotlight after a year and went straight into casting offices working in commercials, tv and film and hasn't really stopped since.

He has worked with casting directors including Andy Morgan, Suzanne Smith, Lauren Evans and Reg Poerscout Edgerton. His credits include Luther (BBC), Good Omens (BBC/AMAZON), Rocketman (PARAMOUNT/MARV FILMS), Men In Black: International (SONY), The Dark Crystal (NETFLIX) and Guy Ritchie’s next film Cash Truck (MIRAMAX).
