"The insight and feedback Suzy offered during this fantastic workshop was incredibly useful." Suzy Catliff works as a casting director in film, television and theatre. Prior to the workshop your Spotlight CV will be sent to Suzy and an appropriate scene sent out for your to prepare as if for a real audition. "I found Suzy's workshops really useful and a real bonus to be able to critique your own performance on screen." Workshop One: The Casting
  • Suzy will explain a little about her work and the way she runs her castings.
  • Each actor will be then seen individually and their mock audition will be put on tape.
  • Each actor will also get the opportunity to 'cold read' for another of the participants, which is an opportunity to view the casting from 'the other side of the camera'.
Workshop Two: Feedback
  • Participants will go through the tapes and watch back the mock auditions as a group. This offers the opportunity for everyone to see what works, what to avoid and how to present yourself in the best possible light in the limited time you get in auditions.
  • As a group Suzy will go through some of the CVs where advice and pointers can be given and offer insight and suggestions to improve content and layout.
  • There will be opportunity for Q&A throughout this workshop.
