Sold Out Join Waiting List
2 days / £81.50

Dates: September 6th, September 7th
Location: Diorama Arts Studios, Regents Studio, 201 Drummond Street, London, NW1 3FE
Time: 10.30 - 17.30

Are you reaching your creative potential? In this two day workshop members will work with the acclaimed Artistic Director Polly Teale to explore how as actors, and as human beings, we are driven by powerful needs and unconscious obstacles. Working both with character and ourselves we will explore our fears and desires.

On the second day we will focus on blockages and resistances that we all experience and that can surface in auditions, in the rehearsal room and in performance - preventing us being able to reach our full potential.

Be prepared to move, discover more about yourself and arm yourself with tools to unlock your creativity.

Polly Teale has created a unique body of work as a writer and director that has won critical and audience acclaim with productions transferring to the West End and touring internationally.

An award- winning theatre practitioner she has authored a number of original plays and stage adaptations with her company, the acclaimed Shared Experience. These include Jane Eyre, Brontë and After Mrs Rochester for which she won the Evening Standard Award for Best Director and the Time Out Award for Best West End Production. Other directing credits include: Bracken Moor, Mary Shelley, Speechless (writer/director), The Glass Menagerie, Mine (writer/director), Ten Tiny Toes, Kindertransport, Madame Bovary, The Clearing, A Doll’s House, The House of Bernarda Alba, Desire Under the Elms, Snatch  and, as co-director, War and Peace and Mill on the Floss. In 2014 she directed BAKERSFIELD MIST in the West End. Her production MERMAID, which she wrote and directed for Shared Experience, toured the UK in 2015.
