One-to-one Feldenkrais sessions with Victoria Worsley FG(UK)
When you step out on stage or in front of a camera the way you hold yourself, the way you move, gesture or speak already tells a story. Of course, every actor knows that. But what stories are you already telling without knowing it? What habits and patterns do you have in you the way you hold your head or chest, the way you walk or shake someone’s hand that set the limits on how people see you and so define not only who you will be cast as but who you will NOT be cast as?
Would you like to:
- Learn more about those habits of yours?
- Find some new possibilities to expand your range?
- Get rid of some old restrictions, conditions or injuries that are limiting you?
- Improve your breathing or voice?
- Just find some more fluidity and ease in what you already do?
Or perhaps you have a particularly difficult/interesting physical challenge in your next job you would like to explore?
The Feldenkrais Method can be a real gift for all of the above at any stage in your career, whether you are just starting out or have a flourishing career. We can all always find out more about ourselves and push our limits further.
Its hard to encapsulate its very many benefits of this method for actors here: How it enables you to explore and discover your patterns and open up new possibilities without making rules or setting limits on what you 'should' or 'shouldn't do'. How it doesn't interfere with what you can do and who you are already but simply adds more choice for you to draw on too. How it helps you feel what you are doing from the inside out. How it enables you to see what other people do more clearly so you can have more skills for 'borrowing'!
These introductory one-to-one sessions use gentle hands-on work to help you feel and open up what you are doing and can use floor work too. They are tailored exactly to you and what you want explore and improve.
For more detailed information on the method please see:
