VENUE: Craven Street Rehearsal Rooms, 10 Craven Street, WC2N 5PE. 3 HOURS: 18.00 - 21.00 This three hour workshop offers the opportunity to explore, practice and discuss castings for commercials in a stress-free and supportive atmosphere. Commercial Casting, led by Hammond Cox Casting, will examine all the key aspects of successfully auditioning for this media. The workshop will consist of: - Individual CV consultancy - A Q&A focussing on the casting industry and audition technique. - A practical session geared towards the specific challenges of commercial casting. Michael Cox has been in casting since 2005. Working extensively for both Sasha Robertson and Nina Gold as well as on his own projects, he has vast experience in casting commercials, television and feature films. For Nina Gold, Michael has worked in various capacities on film and television projects as diverse as: Les Miserables, Prometheus, How I Live Now, Jane Eyre, Rome and A Game Of Thrones as well as many commercials. For Sasha Robertson, Michael has worked on hundreds of commercials. Recent notable UK and international campaigns include: Dyson, Boots, Toyota, Burger King, Ikea and Morrisons. Michael's own projects include: Talk Talk X Factor idents, The Yellow Pages and The Egyptian Tourist Authority. He also has extensive experience of street casting in the UK and internationally. Thom Hammond trained as an actor and first worked in casting as an assistant, with Nina Gold and Rosalie Clayton. As manager of Spotlight's casting department for almost five years, Thom worked with many of the UK's leading Casting Directors on countless commercial, film and television projects. He helped numerous actors tape auditions for US film and television work.
