Date: May 28th
Time: 14.00

VENUE: Craven Street Rehearsal Rooms, 10 Craven Street, WC2N 5PE. 3 HOURS: 14.00 - 17.00 Following feedback from members attending our first workshop with Anji another small group of members now has the opportunity to work with her in this supportive and constructive setting. The aim of this workshop is to emulate, as much as possible, a true audition environment and to give the participants an insight into what may prove to be the Directors' dilemma! Actors will be divided into small groups and given a piece to prepare as if in a real audition situation. One by one the actors will be auditioned whilst all the actors, other than those reading for the same part, are present in the room. By putting the actor in the same shoes as the Casting Director - watching several actors reading the same role - it is hoped that the actors will see what works and what doesn't and how casting choices are made both rationally and/or arbitrarily. The workshop will conclude with a Q&A session dealing with both questions relating to the workshop itself and also to the casting process as a whole.
