Date: November 22nd
Location: New Spotlight, 16 Garrick Street, London WC2E 9BA
Time: 18.30 - 21.30
We are very pleased to welcome back to TAG, Millie Hooper, who is currently working as assistant to Rachel Freck.
Casting for Screen aims to demystify the process of auditioning for screen, to simplify and build confidence while honing your audition technique for screen auditions. This workshop offers the chance to prepare and read a scene for Millie and be given honest feedback, tips and guidance in auditioning for screen in a positive, supportive environment.
Millie will receive your Spotlight CV prior to the workshop (please make sure it is up-to-date) and will then send out scenes for you to select one set of sides to prepare and learn beforehand. Wherever possible, please be off-book/as familiar with the lines as possible for the workshop.
The workshop will start with a brief introduction from Millie, then move into the practical side in which you will be performing your chosen scenes. All members perform their scenes in front of each other, there will then be an opportunity to do the scene again with Millie's notes and adjustments. There will then be an informal Q&A towards the end of the workshop where you can ask Millie any questions.
Millie is a casting freelancer, working primarily for screen. She has worked for Casting Directors including Sam Jones, Isabella Odoffin, Kirsty Kinnear and Gemma Sykes, on projects for Netflix, Paramount , Apple, Amazon, BBC and ITV, and is currently the Assistant at Rachel Freck Casting.
**Please note all contact or questions regarding this workshop should come through the TAG office. Please do not contact the workshop leader directly with questions**
