We are delighted to welcome back Max Grant, now a freelance casting director after working with Amy Hubbard since 2015.
Prior to the workshop Max will send out a selection of scenes for members to prepare.
Following a brief introduction from Max, each actor will read their scene. Max will then provide feedback, giving ideas and insight, before offering the opportunity to read again. Max will then answer any questions you may have about the industry including, but not limited to, his casting process, showreels, contacting Casting Directors and how to give yourself the best opportunity at the audition.
After working at Lionsgate for 2 years, Max made the move into casting in late 2015, working with Amy Hubbard on new film Mortal Engines (Produced by Peter Jackson). In 2017 Max became Amy's Casting Associate whilst working on Little Women for the BBC. Since then he worked on the George Clooney directed TV Adaptation of Catch-22 for Hulu and Channel 4, Criminal UK for Netflix and The Barking Murders for the BBC. Last year he co-cast with Amy; Chimerica for Channel 4 and The Trial of Christine Keeler for BBC. In late 2019 he left Amy Hubbard Casting to look for more opportunities to learn within the industry.
