Casting Director Hayley Kaimakliotis is currently freelance and working to cast a Summer Rep Season. Across her ten year career she has worked in theatre, film and TV working across lots of different offices some of which include, the RSC’s Hannah Miller, Siobhan Bracke, Suzanne Smith, Dixie Chassay as well as in the BBC's in house casting department.

Participants in this practical workshop will have the opportunity to read / select scenes sent out before the class.  The focus will be on enabling the actor to get the best out of their time in the room. An informal and supportive environment in which actors can make choices and be guided on how to make those choices memorable.  The 'audition' is not just about getting the job but about creating a character that is compelling, interesting and honest. If you make honest and good choices you will be remembered for them even if you don't get the role. This is your time with the director and your time to audition for the next audition. The key is to present yourself, do what you do and then walk away.

Although Hayley casts for TV too, this session will revolve around audition technique specifically for theatre - although Hayley is happy to cover any questions you have on TV castings as well!
