Following FANTASTIC FEEDBACK from our members we are delighted welcome back Keith Merrill.

For beginner and professional singers alike, in this supportive and hands on workshop, you will discover the legendary singing technique that has empowered countless stars for well over a century.

This schooling is used as the foundation for SLS (Seth Riggs' Speech Level Singing) in the United States and has influenced the likes of Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, Bernadette Peters, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Carol Burnett, Tim Curry and Annie Lennox - to name a few.

"Thanks so much... the tips you gave us were so useful"

"Thanks for the workshop - I found it really fascinating"

"I gained a much better understanding of my voice and now have many more excerises and tools to improve it"

You will learn the basic foundation of this approach and get the tools to either further empower your voice, or to begin to open that elusive musical theatre audition door - without the trepidation!

By the end of the class you'll walk away with a tailored blueprint of your particular vocal issues and how to mend them, along with a myriad of exercises and vocalises that will serve you over your entire career.

What will be covered:

- Increased vocal range and power.
- Mastering of pitch and tonality.
- Minimisation of breathiness.
- Control of breath and posture.
- Elimination of breaks, cracks and tension.
- Prep for auditions / gigs
- Stage presence.
- Performing a song.

Keith trained as an actor and singer at The Guildhall School and Post Grad at The Royal Academy of Music. He has worked in plays and musicals both here and in the USA, most notably in The Glass Menagerie with Honor Blackman and Camelot with Robert Goulet; was Artistic Director of Noël and Company theatre salon in NYC, where he directed, wrote and produced for The Noël Coward Foundation's Festival at Lincoln Center and presented shows such as Design For Living, Liliom, The Cherry Orchard and The Mousetrap, employing the talents of Bebe Neuwirth, Michael Urie, Rachel Pickup, Edward Hibbert, Dana Ivey, Dee Hoty, Suzanne Bertish and Alan Cox as well as giving new performers a chance to perform with these established actors. He began his vocal teaching practice last year and is committed to sharing his experience with his students.
