Time: 18.00 - 21.00

Paul Murphy is an award winning director with 15 years of comedy and drama credits to his name. His recent credits include BBC's Doctor Who and Death in Paradise, Sky Comedy's 'TROLLIED', CBBC's 'WIZARDS versus ALIENS' and BBC's 'CASUALTY'.

The aim of this workshop will be to introduce actors hoping to work in television with an insight into the realities of auditioning for television.

At first auditions can seem rather daunting; scripts handed to you at the last minute, little time to prepare, only to be stuck in a waiting room with other actors you are convinced look better for the part than you! It's a defining moment to be able to deal with this pressure...

The workshop will begin with 'question and answer' session in which attendees will learn exactly how best to deal with this process and discover exactly what happens in the audition room from the perspective of the director.

After the discussion each actor will be given a trial script and taken through the audition process, exactly as Paul conducts them in the industry, at the end of which you will be given feedback on what to work on when you go for the real thing.

The ultimate aim of this workshop is for you to learn that the best way to approach auditions is to have fun! If you're having fun and your face fits - who wouldn't want to work with you?

Please note the class size for this workshop is smaller than standard TAG workshops.
