Two leading professionals within our industry - agent Amanda Howard (Amanda Howard Associates) and Casting Director Annelie Powell (RSC) team up to offer you to opportunity to sit down and discuss, in a small group, all the questions you have when it comes to representation and the casting process at this level.
Finding the right agent, marketing yourself effectively, invites, headshots, showreels, voicereels, unpaid work, moving to the next level, breaking out of a casting bracket... whatever your questions are, this seminar offers you the opportunity to ask, share and discuss, in a supportive environment, and receive honest answers.
During this seminar participants will be split into two groups to allow for discussion in a small group setting. You may want to use this opportunity to go through your CV and photo or to ask more detailed questions about your professional development.
Amanda is the Managing Director of Amanda Howard Associates, a theatrical agency which represents actors working in theatre, television, films and commercials as well as directors, writers and creatives. Amanda began as an assistant at Leading Artists in 1980 and started AHA seventeen years ago. She has twice been on the panel of judges of the Carleton Hobbs Awards for BBC Radio and has conducted professional practice seminars for groups of actors including RSAMD and Central School of Speech and Drama.

Annelie Powell has been casting since 2006. She is currently Assistant Casting Director at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Prior to this she worked with Ginny Schiller on projects for Bath Theatre Royal, Liverpool Everyman, Rose Theatre Kingston, amongst many others. She has also worked in television and film as an associate and as an Assistant, and she continues to do her bit for the community by casting Crimewatch.
