Ben is the Casting Director on Casualty. As part of the on-going drama Casting Department team at the BBC Ben has also worked on projects such as Kiss of Death (TV movie), The Real Deal & The Trouble with George (Afternoon Plays), Doctors, EastEnders, Holby City, In Deep and Waking the Dead. This three hour workshop will start with a brief intro covering Ben's professional background, the show he casts and how he likes to work with members in this workshop environment. Ben will then set a short fun improvisation in groups of four. Ben will be sent your Spotlight CV before the workshop so that he can cast participants appropriately - sides will be provided on the day. Each pairing will be given 20 minutes to prepare, during which you can ask Ben any questions you may have about character and plot. Direction will be given before running through the scenes again. Honest feedback will be given. Ben will then talk through his casting process and offer tips on how to prepare and perform for an audition - taking questions throughout.
