This two day workshop offers actors the opportunity to learn key techniques which will remove the stress of learning lines and the fear of 'drying up', so that you can focus on character. Kathleen has developed a unique system specifically for actors. Although learning lines is not what makes a great actor, it is of paramount importance, especially nowadays in the media of television when there is no time for rehearsal and at an audition you may be expected to be word perfect even though you only received the script the day before. Kathleen has developed this technique of Line Learning because although the mnemonic techniques for remembering have been around for centuries there did not seem to be anything to tell you how to learn something word for word which is so necessary for an actor or anyone who wants to learn by heart. As well as teaching privately Kathleen has taught Memory Techniques at ArtsEd and other drama schools as well as at the Actors Centre.
