This 3 hour practical workshop will look at what you need to do to maximise your chances for a successful audition and hazards you need to avoid. Artistic Director Chris Honer and Casting Director Rebecca Jenner will structure this workshop in a 'mock audition' format, and advise on presentation and interview technique. This will be followed by a Q&A session. The workshop offers you the opportunity to work on your audition technique in a supportive group environment, and receive some honest answers and feedback. Please bring along your CV and a theatre script with a part in it which you might audition for. Please note you may also be given scripts to read on the day. Chris Honer is Artistic Director at the Library Theatre Company Manchester. Recent productions have included The Heretic, The Daughter-in-Law, The Wind in the Willows, and a site specific production of Charles Dickens's Hard Times. His productions of The Merchant of Venice, The Life of Galileo, Waiting for Godot, and Someone Who'll Watch Over Me all won Awards for Best Production. Chris is also an Accreditation Panel Chair for Drama UK. Rebecca Jenner: 'Casting with the Library Theatre includes Mother Courage, Arabian Nights, Manchester Lines, The Wind in the Willows and All The Way Home. Other recent credits include: Counter Culture Club 2022NQ (Box of Tricks), My Arms (24:7 Theatre Festival), Sit Stay Roll Over, Last Night, Pop & Quick Fire (JB Shorts) and The Shadow of Your Hand (Dark and Dirty) amongst others. Rebecca has also done several sets of general auditions at The Library Theatre.
