Many actors look at the possibility of corporate role-play work as a means of employment between acting jobs. But it is not always obvious how to get into it. This workshop will answer all your questions about the role-play business, what makes a good corporate role-player, the pros and cons of the work and the processes involved, principles of giving people feedback following a role-play exercise, and how to create a good role-play CV. You will also hear first hand what a role-play company looks for in its actors.
In the second part of the workshop you will have an opportunity to practise real corporate role-plays with your peers and get some feedback.
Nick Gasson established the role-play arm of his business in 2003, and has also been a corporate trainer/facilitator for more than 25 years. In addition, he is a jobbing actor and is therefore in the unique position of knowing what the actor needs from the corporate client as well as knowing what the facilitators and clients need from the actor. Nick Gasson Associates Role-Players has a variety of clients, from accountancy and other financial advisory firms, to law firms, property development companies, pharmaceutical companies through to public sector/charities.
