Stephen Moore works as a casting director for the in-house BBC casting department.

Casting Continuing TV Drama offers the opportunity to discuss with Stephen his take on the casting process, to read for him and receive honest feedback and advice.

The workshop will start with a brief introduction where Stephen will discuss his experience of casting for television, and the format of the BBC shows he works on.

Stephen will receive your Spotlight CV prior to the workshop (please make sure it is up-to-date) and will then send out a scene for you to prepare a few days beforehand. This will be a practical workshop in which you will be performing scenes from television scripts Stephen has cast and will include honest feedback and advice.

TAG workshops offer a supportive environment in which to work. All members perform their scenes in front of each other - offering a unique insight and opportunity for us as a group. There will be an informal Q&A towards the end of the workshop.

Stephen has worked in casting since 2001. He is currently based at the BBC where he is Casting Director on DOCTORS and EASTENDERS. He recently cast the new BBC 1 drama FATHER BROWN, and also cast 3 series of LAND GIRLS.

TV credits as Casting Assistant include: ROME (HBO/BBC), LONGFORD (HBO/C4), THE VIRGIN QUEEN (BBC 1), HE KNEW HE WAS RIGHT (BBC 1), BYRON (BBC 2) and THE INSPECTOR LYNLEY MYSTERIES (BBC 1).

Film: As Casting Associate/Assistant, credits include STARTER FOR TEN, AMAZING GRACE, BROTHERS OF THE HEAD, HOT FUZZ, FLIGHTPLAN, SAHARA, I CAPTURE THE CASTLE and BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM.
