This one day workshop forms part of our 'Skills for CV' program.

Get practical experience, learn how to hit your marks and make the hits work for the camera.

Explore some of the more unusual hits and punches that effectively hide the gap for the camera.

Through a desire to break away from conventional "staged fights" and create more gritty and realistic action, Rc-Annie have developed their own techniques of closing the gap, hiding the safety distance and the tricks of the trade while remaining safe.

About Rc-Annie
Rc-Annie provides expert weapons advice and training for those working in film, TV and theatre. Co-founded by Ruth Cooper-Brown (Chair of the British Academy of Dramatic Combat) and Rachel Bown-Williams, Rc-Annie is the UK's Leading Dramatic Violence Company.

As well as a wealth of experience working on stage and screen, they have also worked with companies such as the RSC and the Stage Management Association.

Last year Five feature films that they worked on were released. The most recent being 'Cheerful Weather for the Wedding' directed by Donald Rice and starring Elizabeth McGovern, Felicity Jones and Mackenzie Crook. Also released, 'The Seasoning House', a British horror movie directed by SFX guru Paul Hyett, 'City Slacker', a romantic comedy directed by James Larkin, rap star 'Plan B' aka Ben Drew's film 'Ill Manors', 'Deviation' starring Danny Dyer, and Mike Figgis' 'Suspension of Disbelief'.
