Marco Schleicher is a Casting Assistant who works for Dan Hubbard Casting and Nancy Bishop Casting. Marco has worked on a range of projects; from Blockbuster movies to High End TV drama to commercials.

In advance of the workshop, Marco will send you scenes and character descriptions to prepare. The scenes might be from well known films and TV series as well as from projects that Marco has worked on. 

At the workshop, Marco will create an audition atmosphere and work with you on the scenes. He will help you to get the subtext of each scene as well as the beats and turning points right. By doing mock auditions he also wants to clarify what a casting director is looking for; like seeing multiple sides of the character, having the right body language, being flexible to new directions etc.

Afterwards, Marco will give you feedback. The participants will also be able to watch all the other mock auditions to learn from observing. In the end there will be some time for questions.

Marco’s credits include: HELLBOY, ANGEL HAS FALLEN, POLAR, THE OUTPOST, NOS4A2, PINE GAP (NETFLIX), THE ROMANOFFS (AMAZON), LORE (AMAZON), WHISKY CAVALIER (ABC), BT COMMERCIAL, BOSE ADVERTISEMENT.

He also assisted the following directors at the casting stage: TOM HOOPER (director of “Les Misérables” & “The King’s Speech”), NEIL MARSHALL (“Game of Thrones”), ROD LURIE (“The Last Castle”) and RIC ROMAN WAUGH (“Snitch”).

Previously, Marco has worked in the Assistant Director department for film, TV and theatre.
