A fantastic opportunity to work with the brilliant Abbey Wright who has directed in the West End, at the Donmar, Trafalgar Studios, Lowry and is also Associate Director at the Nuffield.
Abbey Wright will run a session exploring the casting process from a director's point of view. To help you understand what it's like sitting on the other side of the table. An open insight into the casting process, with simple, practical advice and a chance for questions and discussion.
Abbey will send out a script to prepare the night before.
Abbey will soon be directing The Outsider. Other credits include 'Why is the Sky Blue?' (Southwark Playhouse), Grapes of Wrath (West Yorkshire Playhouse, Northampton, Nottingham Playhouse, Nuffield) and THE MENTALISTS starring Stephen Merchant and Steffan Rhodri in the West End.
Abbey is also the Artistic Director of tackroom theatre which she founded in 2013. Her work with tackroom has been Critics' Choice in The Times, Telegraph and Whatsonstage.
Other recent credits include, The Father (Trafalgar Studios), Ghosts (New Vic Theatre), Mrs Lowry and Son (Trafalgar Studios), The Glass Supper (Hampstead), Dublin Carol (Donmar at Trafalgar Studios), The Cocktail Party (Print Room), Holiday and The Eisteddfod (The Bussey Building), Sixty-Six Books (Bush), Rose (Pleasance), The Song of Deborah, Hidden Glory (Lowry), Mamet double-bill (Arcola), The Ones That Flutter (Theatre 503).
Abbey has also been Staff Director at the National Theatre with Danny Boyle on Frankenstein and Resident Assistant Director at the Donmar Warehouse.
