We are delighted to welcome TV director, David Innes Edwards, who will share his wealth of experience in this practical workshop. David has directed Holby City, The Dumping Ground, Casualty, New Tricks & Waterloo Road as well as numerous other well know TV Dramas.
He will soon begin directing again on Holby City.
The workshop will start with a brief introduction from David about his process of casting and the expectations on him when entering a casting situation... as well as what he is looking for from you, the actor.
There will then be an opportunity to get up on your feet and work practically.
Your Spotlight CV will be sent to David before the workshop and sides sent out shortly beforehand for you to prep - this will provide opportunity for you to work with David on what he looks for in order to be able to consider an actor for a part.
Participants may also do some cold reading, as once you are in with the director and they get a feel for your work, they may also want to consider you for another role - in both instances participants will receive feedback and work on how to deliver what the director is really after.
The workshop will finish with a Q&A covering points raised from the workshop itself as well as the world of directing/casting as a whole.
