This session will be led by Producer / Casting Director Sophie Curtis and Director Zoë Waterman.
Zoë is an established freelance Director, and has directed plays at regional theatres including Theatre by the Lake, The New Vic and Nottingham Playhouse. She is currently directing at Theatre Clwyd.
Sophie has a wide-ranging background in casting and theatre production. She is currently Producer at Watford Palace Theatre and previously worked with Theatre by the Lake as their Associate Casting Director, casting over 90 productions. Sophie also spent four years as an Associate Agent with Esta Charkham Associates, nurturing and developing careers of both young and established actors.
This workshop is an opportunity to work on your audition technique for theatre and gain some honest feedback on your CV and headshot at the same time.
Sophie & Zoë will be sent your Spotlight CV before the workshop and will send out text from a play for you to look at shortly beforehand. The workshop will start with a brief introduction in which they will discuss their different experiences of casting. They will then move into the practical part of the workshop. There will also be chance to answer questions and there will be also be focus on key do's and dont's too.
TAG workshops offer a supportive environment in which to work. All members perform their scenes in front of each other – offering a unique insight and opportunity for us as a group.
