Next year, Simon will director a major new production of Timon of Athens.
How to revitalise Shakespeare's mysterious play as a play for our time?
Who is Timon? How do the themes of gratitude, envy and isolation relate to us now?
This will be an insight into Simon's process as well as being a chance to be part of a Shakespeare ensemble, delving into language and uncovering emotional and narrative nuance.
Combining Simon Godwin's playful, exhilarating approach, this workshop is a fantastic chance to combine classical technique with a bold, provocative re-imagining of Timon of Athens - a play for our time.
Please bring a copy of Timon of Athens with you (and if you are not familiar with the play please read it!).
