Time: 10.00 - 13.00

Kate Bone is a Casting Associate with the internationally renowned, multiple award winning Casting Director, Nina Gold.

This practical workshop will start with a brief introduction about how Kate works, and include a mock casting section. There will be opportunity to ask any questions you have and get honest answers.

The second part of the workshop offers the opportunity to get up on your feet and work on a scene in a supportive environment. The scene will be sent out shortly before the workshop - we will send your Spotlight CV to Kate so that she can tailor the scene for you. For this workshop you will be asked to sign an NDA as some scripts are confidential.

The scenes will be done one to one in a mock casting situation, then whilst the group does some simple exercises Kate will go around and give one to one feedback. There will then be an opportunity to do the scene again.

Kate joined Nina Gold Casting four year ago. She went to drama school at eighteen and worked as a professional actress for ten years. From here she moved into feature film production and worked her way up to Production Coordinator and worked on major feature films including Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes, Green Zone, World War Z, Snow White and The Huntsman & Maleficent.

Kate left production to pursue a more creative role and joined Nina Gold Casting in 2013. Since working with Nina she has scouted and continues to work for directors including Ridley Scott, Steven Spielberg, Stephen Daldry and Peter Kosminisky.

Nina Gold is one of the UKs leading Casting Directors and has cast projects including Star Wars VII, The Martian, Paddington, Game of Thrones, The Imitation Game, The Crown, The Theory of Everything amongst many many other successful TV & Feature Film projects.
