Ruth Key has been working in film for over a decade, predominantly working with Lucy Bevan, casting high profile film and television projects. Some of her favourites include Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows, Tarzan, Quartet, Miss You Already (co-Casting Director) and the live action Disney retellings of Cinderella and the forth coming Beauty & the Beast. Ruth now works freelance as a Casting Director and Casting Consultant.

Prior to the workshop Ruth will send out a selection of scenes for members to choose from and prepare. Following a brief introduction Ruth will offer the opportunity to answer any questions you may have about our industry including, but not limited to, her casting process, showreels, contacting Casting Directors and how to give yourself the best opportunity at the audition.

Each actor will then read their scene - Ruth will provide feedback, offering ideas and insight, before offering the opportunity to read again.

There will be further opportunity for questions at the end if there is time.
