You've got a casting, maybe the script, so how come you come out feeling you could have done better?
In this workshop we will look at the common missteps that actors make when auditioning and sometimes when performing.
The type of obstacles we will cover are both technical and psychological and include, nerves, focus, interpretation, following direction and crucially redirection.
Each actor will receive a scene shortly before the workshop which they should be familiar with but NOT learn.
After fantastic feedback from members for Francesca's class "How to Cold Read and Audition Brilliantly" and following a casting career spanning 20 years (and counting!) we are delighted to welcome back Francesca Greene - who has cast over 1800 projects - for this brand new workshop.
Francesca Greene trained and worked as an actor before moving behind the scenes to become a casting director. Francesca casts theatre, film, television and commercials, for projects big and small, and still finds the process exciting. Her experiences as an actor led Francesca to approach casting from a different perspective, one that is sensitive to the needs of the performer as well as the client.
With such a huge wealth of casting experience Francesca is still enthusiastic about the endless possibilities and opportunities offered by this industry and looks forward to meeting you.
