This workshop offers an opportunity to discover how the casting process at the National works, to read for Jacob and receive honest feedback and advice.
Jacob will be sent your Spotlight CV before the workshop and will send out text from a play he has cast for you to look at shortly beforehand. The workshop will start with a brief introduction in which Jacob will discuss his experience of casting for stage, and specifically on casting at the NT. Jacob will then move into the practical part of the workshop. There will also be chance to answer questions and there will be also be focus on key do's and dont's too.
TAG workshops offer a supportive environment in which to work. All members perform their scenes in front of each other – offering a unique insight and opportunity for us as a group.
Jacob Sparrow has been the Casting Assistant at the National Theatre for two years and has worked on productions across the three theatres, including Wonder.land, People Places and Things, Amadeus, LOVE and the upcoming Follies.
Prior to working in Casting at the National, Jacob worked with in casting with James Orange, Pippa Ailion and in New York with Telsey and Co.
