1-2-1 Career Advice sessions in Dublin, Ireland....

Carl Proctor is not only a busy Casting Director and a member of The Casting Directors Guild, he now also has a base in Ireland and is represented as a Casting Director by the Dublin office of the Lisa Richards Agency.

Carl trained as an actor at RADA and worked successfully for many years. He also ran a production company with Imogen Stubbs and Serena Gordon. All this combines to give Carl a unique slant on our industry and well placed to share his wealth of experience and offer advice and guidance on a one-to-one level.

Carl has been running regular 1-2-1 career advice sessions through The Actors' Guild for a few years. His sessions are increasingly popular and to date he has advised almost 400 actors.

Carl is currently casting two films - YOU CAN’T HURRY LOVE and DIRTY LAUNDRY, with a number of others at earlier stages. Commercials and one off TV projects are ongoing.

These half hour sessions offer a relaxed and supportive environment in which to get some honest answers. Topics include, but are not limited to, CVs and headshots, agents, showreels, voicereels, letter writing and marketing strategy as a whole. But these sessions are totally actor led so Carl will only focus on the areas you want to discuss.

Actors leave with a renewed determination, questions answered, with some misconceptions corrected, fears confirmed or quashed, with a clear idea of what changes might make a difference and a plan of action to take them forward. Where appropriate Carl is able to advise on which agents he thinks might be good for you at your stage of your career.

Carl recently cast 80 British actors in a ten part dramatisation THE BIBLE which was a huge success on American TV and has become the most successful miniseries of all time.
