Wondering which headshot to use, what they say about you, or what material to use in your showreel? Thinking about how best to approach the companies you’d like to work with and how to build those essential relationships?  You’re self-employed but are you running a business?

This ‘surgery’ session will focus on the practicalities of being an actor and offer you the chance to take a step back and talk about what’s working for you, what isn’t and to look at what will help you take that next step.

Sophie has worked as a Producer, Agent and Casting Director, as well as previous roles in stage management, set design, marketing and general management. She spent seven years as a Producer at Theatre by the Lake, Keswick and, after leaving this post continued as their Associate Casting Director – casting around 100 productions for the theatre in total. Sophie went on to work as an Associate Agent at Esta Charkham Associates - taking an active role in nurturing and developing careers of both young and established actors. She also recently co-produced the critically acclaimed UK tour of The Bogus Woman with Theatre by the Lake and now works as Producer at Watford Palace Theatre.
