Casting Director Rachel Sheridan (Associate to Rachel Freck, Him & Her, Twenty-Twelve) shares her wealth of experience with members in this 3 hour practical workshop.

Rachel will begin with a brief chat covering her professional background before moving into the practical element.

Actors will have the chance to read specially selected scenes in a mock casting scenario. Prior to the workshop Rachel will email out a selection of scenes for you and ask you to prepare two as you would for a real casting. Rachel will provide feedback and during the Q&A section will be happy to answer questions relating to all aspects of casting.

Rachel joined Rachel Freck Casting in 2010 where she has worked on a variety of TV projects,  both comedies and dramas. The Collection for Amazon is currently  Tin Star for Sky Atlantic are currently filming. Love Nina for BBC 1 is due to transmit in the Summer. Other credits include: The Go-Between (Nominated for Best Single Drama BAFTA 2016), Peter & Wendy, W1A, Life in Squares, Roald Dahl's Esio Trot, Twenty Twelve (Winner of BRITISH COMEDY AWARDS 2011: Best New Comedy Programme & Best Sitcom Winner of BROADCAST PRESS GUILD AWARD 2013: Best Entertainment Comedy Winner of BAFTA AWARD 2013: Situation Comedy); Him & Her; Grandma's House; Hunderby (Winner of BRITISH COMEDY AWARDS 2012: Best New Comedy Programme & Best Sitcom); Holy Flying Circus; Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger; Public Enemies Room at the Top (Winner of BAFTA Award for Best Mini Series) and The Poison Tree.

Prior to working at Rachel Freck Casting Rachel worked as a freelance casting assistant from 2008 – 2010 working for Casting Directors such as Pippa Ailion, Irene Cotton & Andy Morgan.

During this time Rachel worked primarily on musicals in the West End such as; Spring  Awakening, Dirty Dancing, Legally Blonde, Wicked, Billy Elliot & Fela!
