Jessie Frost has worked across a diverse range of projects in both film and television. As Jina Jay's Associate she has worked on films including: Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Lobster, Macbeth and most recently Star Wars: Rogue One. On TV The Night Manager and Black Mirror. Jessie has now gone freelance as a Casting Director - most recently casting Borg/McEnroe starring Shia LaBeouf.
The workshop will start with an introduction from Jessie about her process of casting, and with the rising demands for self-tapes Jessie will talk through expectations for these, what works, what really doesn't work, what she looks for and the common mistakes.
Prior to the workshop Jessie will be sent a link to your Spotlight CV and will send out a selection of scenes for members to prepare / learn shortly before the workshop. Actors will receive honest feedback in a supportive environment. The workshop will finish with a Q&A covering points raised from the workshop itself as well as the world of casting as a whole.
TAG workshops offer a supportive environment in which to work. All members perform their scenes in front of each other – offering a unique insight and opportunity for us as a group.
