Time: 10.30 - 17.00
This workshop will focus on Measure for Measure.
How do we speak Shakespeare today? How do we balance the demands of the verse with the need for meaning? How do we find a contemporary language for power, faith and sexuality? What is the play's essence, and what does it teach us about now?
Building on Simon's experience of classical work, at the RSC and the National, this three day residency will explore the passionate drives which fuel the most extreme actions and how to connect to these in performance.
Please bring a copy of Measure for Measure with you (and if you are not familiar with the play please read it).
