Following fantastic feedback from members we are really pleased to welcome back the brilliant Joy Richardson. This workshop uses games and improvisation to explore being truly in the moment and present during performance.

Participants will work on various ways to keep your performance fresh and exciting, however frequently you play the same part.

The characters you create will live through you and connect with the audience, as you travel on a journey of discovery. Trust your instincts and feel free to be inventive.

This workshop aims to give you skills that help to free you as a performer.

Please wear comfortable clothing, and be ready to play and have fun.

Joy is an actor who delivers acting workshops for The National Theatre, Shakespeare's Globe and The Actors' Guild. She has performed in productions at Shakespeare's Globe, The National Theatre, and in the West End, including work with Sir Peter Hall, Sir Richard Eyre and Katie Mitchell. She has performed with Judi Dench, Mark Rylance, and Michael Caine. Joy is currently working with Cheek by Jowl in their world tour of The Winter’s Tale.
