Casting Director Emily Jones casts TV and Theatre and has cast both in her own right and also alongside established names. This workshop is a great opportunity to learn how Emily casts and also meet and get feedback from a casting director you may not have met before.

The workshop will start with a short introduction following which Emily will answer any questions you have on the industry and her casting process.

Emily would like participants to prepare a contemporary monologue - no longer than 1.5mins. The piece can originally be from a stage script if you want, and can be presented ‘as if’ for camera or stage - your choice. Emily will offer ideas and feedback and then give you the opportunity to play your piece again. Please be ‘OFF BOOK’.

Emily's casting directors credits include Doctors (BBC), Donkey Heart (Trafalgar Studios/Old Red Lion), Coolatully (Papatango/Finborough Theatre), World Enough & Time (Park Theatre), The Hard Man (Finborough Theatre), The Keeper of Infinite Space (Park Theatre), Unscorched (Papatango/Finborough Theatre).

As Casting Assistant Emily has worked at the BBC on Silent Witness, Father Brown, Casualty, The Coroner and Doctors.

Emily has work with Ginny Schiller on various theatre projects including The Father (Bath & West End), 1984 (West End & various tours), Bad Jews (Bath & West End, The Merchant of Venice (The Almeida Theatre), Pride & Prejudice (Regents Park), Fatal Attraction (Theatre Royal, Haymarket).
