Laura has worked in casting for over ten years and has worked at many of the most respected casting houses in the UK. Laura works as a Casting Director and Casting Associate with several well known names. Shortly after starting out she cast a short film that was Oscar nominated.

Laura has been working most recently as Associate to Suzanne Smith, recently casting new Paramount drama 'Berlin Station', another new series called 'Mars', pilot seasons for CBS as well as the feature films ‘Underworld 5’ and ‘Resident Evil 6: The Final Chapter’. Laura also recently cast Lucky Man - Series 2 - for Sky.

Other credits include working with Laura Scott on projects such as DCI Banks for ITV - as Co-Casting Director on series 4 and Casting Assistant on series 3. She was also Casting Assistant on the ITV drama Tommy Cooper, Not Like this Like That.

Laura was UK Casting Associate to HEIDI LEVITT, working on feature films A Storm in the Stars (Dir: Haifaa Al-Mansour, 2015) and The Chosen (Dir: Antonio Chavarrias, 2014)  With Lucinda Syson and Elaine Grainger, Laura worked on projects such as 'Stardust', 'The Dark Knight' and 'Wanted' as well as the BBC/HBO drama 'House of Saddam' which was Emmy nominated for Best Casting.

Laura was also Senior Casting Director for Danny Boyle on the Olympic Opening Ceremony.

Casting for Screen offers the opportunity to discuss with Laura her take on the casting process, to read for her and receive honest feedback and insight.

Laura will receive your Spotlight CV prior to the workshop (please make sure it is up-to-date) and will then send out a scene for you to prepare shortly beforehand.

This will be a practical workshop in which you will be performing scenes from scripts Laura has cast and will include honest feedback and advice. 

Laura us a camera to show you framing too - what the Casting Director / Director / Producer sees!

TAG workshops offer a supportive environment in which to work. All members perform their scenes in front of each other - offering a unique insight and opportunity for us as a group. There will be an informal Q&A towards the end of the workshop.
