Stephen Moore is a freelance Casting Director who has extensive experience as part of the in-house BBC casting department. Casting TV Drama offers the opportunity to discuss with Stephen his take on the casting process, to read for him and receive honest feedback and advice.
As well as casting for TV Stephen also casts for theatre - he is currently casting a play for The Park Theatre.
The workshop will start with a brief introduction where Stephen will discuss his experience of casting for television, and will provide an insight into the format of some of the shows he has worked on.
Stephen will receive your Spotlight CV prior to the workshop (please make sure it is up-to-date) and will then send out a scene for you to prepare shortly beforehand. This will be a practical workshop in which you will be performing scenes from television scripts Stephen has cast and will include honest feedback and advice.
TAG workshops offer a supportive environment in which to work. All members perform their scenes in front of each other - offering a unique insight and opportunity for us as a group. There will be an informal Q&A towards the end of the workshop.
Stephen has worked in casting since 2001, and was based in-house at the BBC between 2006 - 2014 where he cast, amongst other projects, the series DOCTORS. Stephen is now casting freelance.
Stephen recently cast LINES IN THE SAND (Drama-Doc) and returned to the BBC to cast a few more episodes of DOCTORS.
