We are delighted to welcome casting director Andy Morgan CDG, who is responsible for casting numerous major prime-time dramas, who will share his huge wealth of experience in this practical workshop.
The workshop will start with an introduction from Andy about his process of casting, and the ‘responsibility’ of the actor when preparing, and the expectations on them when entering a casting situation.
There will then be an opportunity to get up on your feet and work practically. Andy asks participants to prepare a contemporary monologue, no longer than 1 minute. The piece can originally be from a stage script but should be suitable so that it can be presented ‘as if’ for camera. Andy will offer feedback and direction. Please be ‘OFF BOOK’.
The workshop will finish with a Q&A covering points raised from the workshop itself as well as the world of casting as a whole.
Andy Morgan has been responsible for the casting of numerous prime-time major Dramas including WAGSTAFFE, JERICHO, LUTHER, CILLA, WHAT REMAINS, THE ‘C’ WORD, THE WIDOWER, INSIDE MEN, MAY DAY, THE MUSKETEERS (S3), WAKING THE DEAD, FRANKIE, LAW & ORDER UK(S1-6), THE TURN OF THE SCREW, JUST HENRY, HOMEFRONT, RATHER YOU THAN ME! and MOST SINCERELY!.
